Please illustrate blood in this dynamic?  

"In Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophical teachings, **blood** plays a central, mediating role in relation to the **neurological gaps** (interruptions or breaks in the nerve pathways) that serve as **ports of entry** for spiritual influences and communication (e.g., subtle inspirations from the spiritual world, higher beings, or the dead).

Steiner describes the human being as consisting of four members: the physical body, aetheric (life) body, astral body, and ego ("I"-organization). These interact dynamically with the organism's systems:

- The **nervous system** is primarily the physical expression/instrument of the **astral body** (which carries soul impulses, desires, and sensations). Nerves tend toward materialization and "dying off"—they become more mineralized, rigid, and "dead" (excreted matter along nerve paths), enabling clear, antipathetic (separating, individuating) thinking and perception.
- The **blood** (and circulatory system) is the primary instrument/expression of the **ego** ("I"), with strong ties to the etheric body (life forces) and warmth element. Blood tends toward spiritualization—it wants to "whirl up as spirit" or become ever more ethereal if isolated from physical destruction (via breathing/exhalation). It retains and individualizes spiritual forces rather than letting them pass through unchecked.

The **gaps** (e.g., in the spinal cord where sensory nerves enter posteriorly and motor nerves exit anteriorly, or in sympathetic ganglia) are points where nerve activity is interrupted. At these breaks:
- Sympathy (attraction, connection to spiritual/will forces) and antipathy (repulsion, separation for individuality) interplay dynamically.
- They act as **ports** where spiritual influences can permeate from the supersensible into the physical, enabling freedom, consciousness, ethical impulses, and reciprocal exchanges (e.g., the dead influencing the living via inner promptings).

**Blood relates to these gaps** as the vital, mediating counter force:
- Blood "plays upon" or interacts with the nervous system at these interruption points, especially in the head (where blood-nerve interplay forms memory), chest (rhythmic breathing/circulation), and limbs/metabolic regions.
- The blood brings life, warmth, and ego-individuality into the otherwise "deadening" nerve processes, preventing the gaps from becoming purely material voids.
- Through circulation and breathing, blood integrates etheric vitality (oxygen uptake) and astral influences, modulating how spiritual forces enter via the gaps—balancing sympathy/antipathy so permeation is harmonious rather than overwhelming.
- Without blood's spiritualizing tendency, the gaps would lack the ego's anchoring force; with it, spiritual communications (e.g., inspirations during introspection or sleep) can flow subtly and ethically.

In key lectures (e.g., from *The Foundations of Human Experience* / GA 293 and *Fundamentals of Therapy* / GA 27 co-authored with Ita Wegman), Steiner states:
- "Blood wants to become ever more spiritual—nerve ever more material."
- At gaps, "sympathy and antipathy interplay," with blood as the "very special fluid" that retains spirit within the body while nerves allow permeation/transparency.
- Blood-nerve interaction (e.g., in the head for memory, or via sympathetic nerves) creates centers where spiritual forces "enter" without dominating materiality.

This polarity—nerves materializing/deadening vs. blood spiritualizing/livening—is essential for human evolution: nerves provide structure for clear thinking; blood provides warmth/ego for spiritual connection via the gaps. The blood thus acts as a **mediator** or bridge, ensuring spiritual ports remain open yet balanced within earthly incarnation.

My 1st Book of The Rosicrucian Mysteries

I started The Rosicrucian Mysteries in 1990 over 30 years ago, but the idea began in 1989! It was very clear in my mind there needed to be a New Teaching for everyone. For me, it had to be different from anything else I new or had learned. It had to be special, and not known elsewhere. 

I wanted to created a teaching which exemplified the joys of working with my inner Spiritual Configuration (known through a secret knowledge of inner seeing). What struck me very clearly, was this, after visiting many Spiritual Communities (I lived in Jarna Sweden for 7 years) I found they were lacking in skills to support an individual on a higher path - in my case, a musical path. They were not able to maintain and support the Correct Spiritual Atmosphere needed  in order to promote the Aether Body and bring it into a higher state. Let's just say a higher caliber Musician requires a very special environment. 

This meant that Human Beings (n General) could not advance further because Music is Special gift of Nature to Human Beings. The question that posed itself to me was this; if Human Interference caused a delay in the powers of Nature to work in a a person, then human beings were standing in the path of higher development and blocking it! 

I came to understand; It is People who stand in the Way of Human Progress! Once a proper social environment is achieved, then the Spiritual Forces begin to move from within! 

 Imagine this like a water drip drop by drop creating a pool, then cuts a small channel until it forces it way into another until a stream forms.t all made sense! I needed to surround myself with a group of supportive people and the magic of nature would take over! And it did!  I found my place to write and over time outgrew one stage after another, in the interim seeking a new place to land once I could feel the foundation shift - that was the telltale sign - I timed it and moved my self accordingly to a new habitat.  

A human being is more than what he appears on the surface, and unfolding the inner self is to acknowledge the arising of a greater power within, hidden even, and concealed is a great challenge, for it means the old personality will be shattered and eventually nothing will remain of it. Just watch a moth come from a cocoon, and you can imagine the strange and at first frightening sight of the once docile but gigantic fifty legged green worm, beautiful and then restfully turns black nested inside a silky house. Then inside it the creature loses eyes, legs shrivel, head severs, turns black as night. Stillness. Nothing. Then it appears. Underneath the skin, shadows of colors appear through the smoky outside. A creature is inside! An unknown one. It stirs, then breaks the skin. In a flash of a moment, the blink of an eye, she sits fully formed, a goddess of nature, proud, eyes focused. A mind that is fully concentrated evidenced in the emanation of its life streaming and pulsing as pressures of air are drawn in through body pores and fill it with power - her eyes display the powerful surge of energy. She slowly pumps her wing. When the night comes she will be ready to fly in cosmic spaces!

A writer of Spiritual States on Man are no less important to understand, and so few writers, if there ever were any, could comprehend nature enough to push aside ALL PRECONCEPTIONS about what can emerge from the Soul of a Man.Why this? A Man is not a creature, he has a Soul to inform him of steps, and stages of creatures, but a Man does not know the anything about his invisible being. He simply does not see it. I understood what men were unwilling to see caused them to cut themselves short of the Next Stage of Human Development. From that point of view I began my writing the Chapters in The Secret Teachings of the Lost Land of Eden.  

These are secrets in this book about Man and Nature not found anywhere else. If you feel attracted to my work for the reasons above, then you will not be able to put my book down! It is what it is. What it is not? It is unique among Rosicrucian Books.You are probably ask then why Rosicrucian?  Well it is quite natural for anyone to understand. In my youth, the idea of Music and Sound explained everything (see the Works of Herman Hesse for example 1960s) and this was echoed in the 1970's philosophies of the New Musicians, drew on the idea of the number 7; seven colors, seven tones etc. The Rosicrucians were exemplary and fully acknowledged as the theoreticians of Seven Spiritual Bodies, the Seven Hidden Realms, the Seven States of Mind, the Seven Upper Zodiac Signs, Seven Proteins, and so forth. Everything in the Rosicrucian System, which is the Oldest Traditional Science of Europe and if one adds the Pythagorean System of Numbers as the Foundation for Descartes, Pascal, and St Hillaire, but also the system of J.S. Bach, Hayden, Mozart, Vivaldi, and Monteverdi, one can in this way see the fine and delicate weaving of human thoughts as a veritable musical  instrument of nature - the mind itself is the musical instrument of the unknown and unrecognized Spirit of nature no one seems to be able to ascertain. Why? Because they can't see the power of Sound. Sound is invisible. 

My book is then really a Philosophy of Sound. It is Rosicrucian in that it draws on the traditions of Pythagorean Musical Mathematics which is eminently Rosicrucian because of the special adoration of the Form of the Rose as a 5 pointed star and a Cross as a quadrant. These are properly interpreted as the properties of .5 and .25. When one adds, multiplies, or divides these one has the entire frequency bandwidth of nature. They are the rhythm and the sequences of creation. In the East, it is called the dance of the Najaraj with Shiva. One must see how to use them. In the same way a man uses a flute to blow our beautiful tones, the soul can be so configured to 'sound' thoughts too, not just receive them. So the art of a human soul is a new musical training. That is the secret of my Book the Rosicrucian Mysteries and the Lost Teachings of Eden.  I have added much to my initial 1st book too! I have created very much to add to your inner thirst for more. A beautiful song I wrote called Carrying Flowers - The Mexicans have a custom, if a letter is honest, it comes with flowers, hence the title "Carrying Flowers". The photo is of this very most delicate dancer in front of a fountain, and if you have that image in your mind of her slowly and beautifully opening to sun above her and shining into her , and the music filling her with grace, then you have the right idea of my inspiration for the song.

A stream of consciousness is a flow One Mind into other minds, and finds other channels and also Many Places; all are Full of experience; life and death, creatures, wisdom, events of light and so much more! To find the Headwaters or source is a journey, and often, if it is long channel, it must includes changes in time.One must travel to reach the source. So to, a man can be long or short in length to reach his source - 'his fountain of life' - so to speak.

And also, not all explorers agree on the Source of any great river, for the source can change through the coming of new rains from any new mountain height. Some say it is on one Mountain, others may come and find a path on another Mountain! A Spring Rain in any nearby Mountain to the River change the configuration of the river and its source, which can Fool the most meticulous Explorer with a new unknown knowledge and discovery. After any Mountain Rain and there can appear a New Flood of Water and a Channel that was previously Dry and Hidden, and now suddenly becomes a new unexplored flow of the whole river and in a new height maybe, in some miraculous way, a new source of the river on another Mountain! The River is the Channel and the Channel is the River.

Where does it Begin? Look up my friends and Look where the Clouds come and form the Rain to flow down in the Channel.

One day it is there and visible!

Mantra means to focus thought, or literally the act of concentrated thinking. It is thought that separates men from the animals and internally it is the same, for the soul has within it animal traits of nature. It is the thought which is the 'rope' upon which the higher self or 'pure self' can climb out of the invisible soul substances of the animal-soul. In our teaching, it is also important to tame the animal and not to kill it. And music and mantras are one means by which the animal soul is tamed and blessed, and this animal soul can become a great blessing in our progress in spiritual nature.
