The Readers Hub
A room for people who have stood on one leg and felt something, and would like to say so out loud.
What this is
It is not a library. There is a library — it is called the school, and it is through a different door.
This is a room where you talk. You did the practice. Something happened, or nothing happened, and either way you now know something you did not know an hour ago. That is worth saying, and it is worth hearing.
I read everything here, and I answer.
What you need to come in
You need to have stood.
That is the entire requirement. Not a course, not a book, not a word of the vocabulary. If you have taken the ten minutes and put your foot down again, you belong here as fully as anyone.
Three lines is a post. Nobody is grading the writing. Say what happened and stop.
"I felt nothing" is a post. It may be the most useful one in the room. Say it.
No one here is further along than you. We are not ranked, and I will not be running a ladder. Some have stood more often. That is all it means.
Where to start
There is one thread waiting, and it asks one question: What happened when you stood?
Not what you think it meant. What it was like. Did you wobble? Did you laugh? Did your foot come down four times? Did the warmth arrive at the sternum, or did you feel nothing at all and wonder whether you'd done it wrong?
There is no wrong answer and nothing to get right. I have been doing this for forty-five years and I still come down off the leg some days.

Scroll down and tell me.

Warmth at the sternum, still sounding.

Haven't stood yet? Begin at The Crossing. Ten minutes, no account, nothing asked.
Want the teaching, not the room? That is the school — the courses, the lectures, the long study. Different door, same house.
What happened when you stood?
Arizona. 115 degrees, outside, no fan, no shade. Standing in the wave while I recorded it.
